Xenics, a developer and manufacturer of advanced infrared detectors, cameras and customized imaging solutions from the SWIR to the LWIR realm, returns to Defense & Security Equipment International (DSEI) this year to showcase its cameras for the security and defence market. DSEI takes place in London from 12 to 15 September.
The Bobcat-320-Gated is one of the three versions available for the Bobcat-320 series. This is a gated imaging version for use in applications where very short exposure times are required.

Bobcat-320-Gated – Cost sensitive SWIR InGaAs camera series
A unique gated imaging version of the Bobcat-320 for use in R&D and specialized dedicated applications, expect to see our Bobcat-320-Gated presented during the four-day exhibition.
The Bobcat-320-Gated features trigger-in and jitter-free trigger-out for synchronization. A distinctive feature is the programmable trigger-out delay between the internally generated trigger-out pulse and the start of the exposure. The exposure time is configurable from 100 ns up to 1 ms in steps of 100 ns, or 1 ms to 40 ms (in standard mode).
With all these features, the Bobcat-320-Gated SWIR camera is the ideal Bobcat SWIR camera for applications in which very short exposure times are required.

The XCO-640 is a MWIR cooled camera core with low NETD. When used in combination with a zoom lens, the XCO-640 features onboard auto-focus algorithms, automatically controlling the lens during zooming for optimal focus positions. For that reason, the XCO-640 is highly suitable for security applications such as long range surveillance or perimeter monitoring/protection.
Compact, low-power consuming and easy-to-integrate, the XSW and the XTM are OEM infrared camera cores for the SWIR and LWIR realms respectively.
The XSW-640 is a short wave infrared camera core, sensitive in the range between 0.9 and 1.7 μm with a wide dynamic range and wide operating temperature. Thermo Electric (TE) stabilization reduces the dark current and noise levels, and the on-board image processing ensures the best contrast and high image quality.
The XTM-640 is equipped with an uncooled microbolometer array of 640 by 480 pixels with 17 μm pixel pitch for thermal imaging in the long wave infrared (8 – 12 μm), with high thermal sensitivity and NETD of 55 mK. Measuring at only 45 x 45 x 32 mm³, with advanced shutter design for optimal image performance in a small form factor housing, it is a compact and versatile LWIR thermal camera module with unique image quality and stability.
