Teledyne Dalsa, a Teledyne Technologies company and a specialist in machine vision, introduced a new family of low-cost, high-value line-scan cameras: the Linea series. With Teledyne Dalsa’s complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) line-scan sensor technology in a compact form factor, the feature-rich Linea cameras address the mainstream market for machine-vision applications by delivering high speed and flexibility in an affordable package, according to the company. Available in 2K and 4K resolution, the first of the Linea monochrome cameras delivers fast line rates of 80 kilohertz (kHz) and high sensitivity.
These small, affordable, low-power Linea cameras are suitable for general machine-vision applications such as original equipment manufacturer (OEM) postal and parcel inspection, materials grading, food and web inspection, transportation safety and pharmaceutical inspection. The Linea Series will be on display at The Vision Show and Conference 2014 on 15-17 April at Hynes Convention Center (booth 317) in Boston, Massachusetts (US).
