Dr. Fabian Jolmes, microbiologist and application specialist for confocal microscopy at PicoQuant is on a temporal leave for several months to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Being a reserve officer of the Federal Defence Forces of Germany (Bundeswehr) he has been asked for his support in the execution and evaluation of COVID-19 tests. Supporting such an important social task is a matter of course for us at PicoQuant. Managing Director Rainer Erdmann did not hesitate a second to approve Fabians release from his regular work when the request from the Bundeswehr arrived. Fabian started his work in the department of microbiology of the Bundeswehr Hospital in Berlin in early April.
