Smart Vision Lights (SVL), a global specialistin the design and manufacture of LED illumination solutions for machine vision and other applications, unveiled its groundbreaking new SmartVisionLink™ wireless connectivity platform today at the Automate 2019 conference and exhibition (Booth 8135) in Chicago.
Enabled by SVL’s new BTM-1000 Bluetooth module, SmartVisionLink technology allows remote adjustment of key parameters for six or more compatible lights through a downloadable smartphone app for Android and Apple devices. The technology offers users the option to remotely manage, configure and digitally store the intensity of multiple LED sources or zones in a multi-zone light via the app’s intuitive controls, allowing lights to be calibrated with others to ensure a homogeneous surface light pattern.
“Connectivity has become an increasingly pervasive theme among SVL customers seeking to optimize up-time, efficiency, and safety in their next-generation factories,” says Dave Spaulding, President of Smart Vision Lights. “SmartVisionLink™ and its underlying communication platform is SVL’s first step toward leveraging the benefits of connectivity for machine vision lighting. By providing intuitive control over SmartVisionLink-enabled lights, this innovative new technology can help optimize production line up-time and eliminate the need to physically handle hard-to-reach light sources or add bulky network-enabled light controllers.”
Smart Vision Lights is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-brightness LED lights for industrial applications, including machine vision.
