SPIE/COS, which was to take place in Beijing thisyear, SPIE and COS are suspending the in-person meeting for Photonics Asia this year and transforming it into a no-charge Digital Forum that will run 12 - 16 October 2020.
The SPIE/COS Photonics Asia Digital Forum will include live plenary presentations, on-demand technical talks, and networking opportunities to connect with other participants.
As it’s difficult to dedicate entire days to watching video presentations from home. Therefore, the organizers are featuring a few special live sessions for plenary talks and networking events, but most technical talks and papers will be available whenever it’s convenient for you. To further reduce time pressure, all presentations will be available on an ongoing basis via the SPIE Digital Library; these will be freely available to anyone who registers for this SPIE Digital Forum.
While it’s impossible to recreate the spontaneous connections that occur in the sessions and hallways of any great event, the Photonics Asia Digital Forum will offer plenty of virtual opportunities to interact with presenters and to meet and chat online with fellow attendees.
Authors and presenters will receive an additional email with instructions regarding uploading presentations, timelines, and online discussion features. Look for details in future emails and on the event website as the organizers continue to make updates.
After this health crisis passes, SPIE/COS look forward to resuming face-to-face events. Until then, please mark your calendar for SPIE/COS Photonics Asia Digital Forum 12- 16 October to share, learn, and connect online from wherever you are.
