Schott, a manufacturer of specialty glass material and fiber optics, has acquired the MEGADraw Defense segment of INCOM USA in 2020. With this acquisition, Schott has expanded its current broad portfolio for Defense & Security, especially its leading role in the segment of Fiber Optical Inverters and Straight Thrus down to 2.5µm for Image Intensification Tubes (I²Tubes). They are used in Image Intensification Devices such as Night Vision Goggles.
Schott now offers the full technology spectrum, ranging from mainly US-used Low Expansion up to now available internationally used High Expansion Inverter and Straight Thru material.
