Gigahertz-Optik has upgraded the BTS256-LED software to include the correct chromaticity mapping for implementation of color boundaries according to the FMVSS 108 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108) color requirements into the software.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Department of Transportation standard applies to all motor vehicles and trailers sold in the United States. Its primary goal is to reduce traffic accidents and fatalities by ensuring proper illumination and visibility of vehicles. FMVSS 108 specifies requirements for the photometric characteristics (light output and distribution), color, aiming, and durability of lighting and reflective devices.
The S-BTS256 software supports the BTS256-LED Tester with or without integrating sphere or other accessory component.
The BTS256-LED Tester is a compact BiTec Spectroradiometer for the measurement of total luminous flux, color quantities and spectra of single VIS and NIR LEDs. It features a built-in 50mm integrating sphere with conical input aperture. Another unique feature is its software supported auxiliary lamp for self-absorption correction and electro-optical shutter.
Also note that the S-SDK-BTS256 Software Development Kit which enables users to integrate the device in their own software is available on option.
