Bruker Corporation today announced the launch of its new Tango stand-alone Fourier transform near infrared (FT-NIR) spectrometer for measuring liquid samples in transmission. The Tango complements Bruker’s existing FT-NIR product range, featuring a sample temperature control from 20°C (68°F) to 80°C (176°F) for precise measurement of liquids.

The Tango systems are robust with a small footprint and feature a touch-screen operation for routine users. This user interface of the Tango guides the operator through the work flow. The automated background measurements help untrained staff operate the spectrometer. The user interface is currently available in 17 languages to ensure that the Tango is well accepted by local operators. The Tango demonstrates how easy NIR analysis can be. Its housing and touch-screen monitor are rugged and easy to clean, making it suitable not just for controlled laboratory climates, but also for dusty environments.

Current FT-NIR products include the Multi-Purpose Analyser (MPA), which analyses liquids, solids, powders and tablets. The MPA with its various measurement options is a suitable tool for sophisticated method development or for labs requiring a high degree of analytical flexibility. The Bruker process spectrometer Matrix-F can withstand harsh environments. Its design provides consistent quality results, less down-time, direct methods transfer and access to new applications.
