The BitFlow QFi bridges the gap between copper and fiber by directly connecting to a CoaXPress camera on one side using a standard coaxial cable. On the PC side, a fiber optic cable outputs into a BitFlow Claxon FXP4 frame grabber in the host PC located up to 100 kilometers away.
Introducing the first copper-to-fiber module that supports long-distance data transmission from CXP cameras to a host PC. With link speeds up to 10 Gb/s and cable lengths up to 100 kilometers, the BitFlow QFi module provides a cost-effective alternative to the usual methods of extending CXP transmission. The QFi simplifies system configurations, while reducing costs in long distance CXP applications such as monitoring pipelines, bridges, high-voltage power lines, broadcasting sporting events, and long-range surveillance of rockets, destructive testing, and environmental studies, among others. No more converter boxes, extenders or repeaters.
Here's how the BitFlow QFi will transform your CXP systems:
- Outputs CXP camera data via any SFP+ compatible fiber cable assembly.
- Supports fiber cable lengths to 100 kilometers (62 miles).
- Connects seamlessly to BitFlow Claxon FXP4 quad frame grabbers.
- Up to 4 QFi modules can be connected to a single Claxon frame grabber for multi-camera systems or one multilink camera for 40 Gb/s.
- Compatible with CXP-1 to CXP-12 cameras requiring link speeds from 1.25 to 12.5 Gb/s (CoaXPress 1.1/2.0 compliant).
- Supplies 13W to connected CXP cameras - no power supply needed.
- Supports an uplink channel like standard CXP connections.
- No programming is required.
- Firmware is field upgradable.
- Ruggedized industrial-grade metal housing.
