PG&O’s recently announced PR Hoffman 5400 double-sided polishing (DSP) machine increases the company’s high-volume optics manufacturing capacity. The new equipment combines with state-of-the-art CNC machining capabilities, precision glass scribing, edging, and exceptional thin-film coating processes to deliver volume parts up to 100,000 high-quality optics per month. The DSP machine provides optimal surface integrity, dimensional accuracy, and repeatability. For customers who require a large-scale production run or a customized optical solution, the company offers precision finished optics and thin films, on time and on budget.
