ALCOR 920-2W fiber laser was launched by Spark Lasers at Photonics West 2019 the world’s first compact 920 nm femtosecond fiber laser with 2W average power for two-photon microscopy. This product has been available in the United States for little less than a year through RPMC lasers a leading laser distributor in North America that has also published a white paper on how mode-locked lasers affect the past, present, and future of two-photon microscopy.
The ALCOR 920 is a unique femtosecond fiber laser offering 2 W at 80 MHz with high quality linearly polarized output beam and nearly-transform limited sub-140 fs pulses in a volume 30 times smaller than conventional. This robust ultra-compact laser head standardly embeds GDD pre-compensation electronically adjustable down to -30000 fs² with possibility to precisely synchronize pulses to other devices. All these features combined with low-maintenance, air-cooling and high-stability make ALCOR 920 the ideal tool for the most challenging two-photon microscopy applications.
This is a new generation of femtosecond fiber laser developed to answer to the most challenging projects in the field of two-photon microscopy and particularly in neuroscience with a high average power and high peak power (up to 250kW), adjustable GDD, user friendly interface with unique mounting scheme allowing the user to easily mount the laser on the microscope.
Spark Lasers will be exhibiting at Photonics West 2019 at #1059/E, Business France Pavilion, Booths 959 & 1059 Moscone Convention Center – South Hall.
