Senso Optics, a specialist in the design, development and production of thermal-imaging technologies and electro-optical solutions for military, paramilitary and security markets, announces the X-Lite, a miniature thermal sensor. The X-Lite is a compact and lightweight thermal-imaging camera core for night vision.
The Senso Optics thermal sensor X-Lite is just 30 millimetres (mm) × 34mm × 41mm size (with input/output and power cards) and weighs less than 80 grams.
The size of this miniature thermal-imaging sensor is equivalent to a wristwatch.
With a resolution of 640×480 pixels with a 17-micrometre (µm) pixel size, the X-Lite generates sharp clear images that enable improved detection and let the user see clearly in total darkness. It gives law enforcement officers, search and rescue teams, homeland security (HLS) patrols and anyone who needs to see at night without being seen the information needed to make critical decisions, enhance mission effectiveness, maximise operational capabilities and improve safety.

The X-Lite is equipped with a smart algorithm (e.g., an anti-blooming, drivers for zoom and focus lens control, high-detailing Clatinex algorithm), temperature range compression and more. The X-Lite uses an HS Vox detector with a noise-equivalent temperature difference (NETD) of less than or equal to (≤) 32 milliKelvins (mK) or an ASi detector (NETD ≤50mK). It generates an image immediately from “power on.”
