Its stainless steel construction with optically black finish provides a 38% lower Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) than competitive stainless steel mounts. Rigorous testing in a thermal chamber using an autocollimator confirmed that the Suprema XTE series outperforms competitors’ comparable mounts in both thermal drift and hysteresis. Newport’s Suprema XTE series is the new benchmark for high-performance low-drift optical mirror mounts required for demanding applications like laser cavity adjustments.
The Suprema XTE mounts hold one-inch mirrors and are available with various actuator choices including Newport’s exclusive 254 TPI ultra-fine adjustment screws. In addition to the superior sensitivity of the higher TPI adjusters, the Suprema XTE mounts provide a consistent, smooth adjustability and feel, the result of a 3-V kinematic design.
