Pantec Medical Laser present its newly developed technology fam to the public for the first time this week at Photonics West 2014 in San Francisco.
The proprietary fam technology for tapered laser diodes results in the highest spatial and spectral brightness from a single emitter available in free-space, fiber-coupled and second harmonic versions, the company reports.

Beside fam Pantec Medical Laser also offers its well established laser platform 3mikron. 3mikron is based on diode-pumped solid state lasers (DPSS lasers) delivering up to 30W and operating at wavelengths of 2 to 3 µm. Due to the excellent beam quality and the high level of water absorption 3mikron provides amazing results especially in biological tissue application. This technology meets not only the needs of manufacturers but also of users regarding efficiency, reliability, maintenance and compactness.
