Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company that specializes in digital image-sensing technology, announced today its family of 60-million-pixel, large-format, full-frame, charge-coupled device (CCD) image sensors. The new FTF9168 image sensors offer very high resolution within a 645 optical format that can be imaged using commercially available lenses. Available in both RGB-Bayer colour and monochrome versions, the FTF9168 CCD image sensors are suitable for resolution-demanding applications, such as fabric and artwork reproduction, document scanning and aerial photogrammetry.
The Teledyne DALSA FTF9168 Image Sensors offer the following benefits:
• Very large optical format (54 × 40 square millimetres)
• 60 million active pixels (8956 horizontal × 6708 vertical)
• More than 95% fill factor
• High-quality anti-blooming
• Micro lenses with wide angular response
• High sensitivity and dynamic range (more than 70 decibels)
• Data rate up to 25 megahertz per output (4 outputs)
• Restriction of Use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant
To kick-start camera development based on these new FTF9168 image sensors, Teledyne DALSA’s application support team has created a camera reference design (Evaluation Kit) and application note that will help you get the desired imaging performance out of these sensors.
