Newport Corporation, a provider of photonics solutions, is enhancing its SmartTable product family with several new exciting products including the new ST-300 controller, the SmartTable HD hybrid damped optical table and SmartTable ADD bolt-on dampers for doubler tables.
The new ST-300 Controller is designed to be more compact and provide higher processing power for quicker vibration compensation and improved damping performance. It features an additional channel to provide third-channel (possibly horizontal) damping for large doubler-systems and other complex structures.
A new software interface enables real-time vibration data streaming, recording and compliance testing of optical tables. Additional damping indicator bars on the front panel show damping actions in real-time. The new ST-300 controller is now shipped with all Newport SmartTable active damping products.
Newport is also introducing the SmartTable HD hybrid damping optical table. The SmartTable HD features Newport’s patented precision passive tuned dampers combined with IQ active damping technology with the goal to provide the maximum level of damping available.
In addition, Newport has extended the offerings of SmartTable ADD bolt-on dampers to larger structures such as doubler tables that have lower resonance frequencies. The IQD Series SmartTable ADD bolt-on dampers feature two compact damper units that can be bolted onto tabletops or structures and used with the ST-300 controller to damp vibrations in 40 Hz – 200 Hz range.
