PI Releases Miniature Linear and Rotary Stage Catalog

PI (Physik Instrumente), a solution provider in motion control and precision positioning components and systems, is releasing a catalog of 200+ models of miniature translation and rotation stages, representing varying sizes and motion ranges with different drive concepts, including servo/stepper, piezo ultrasonic/inertia, linear, voice coil, air bearings, crossed rollers, and piezo flexures.

High-speed linear motor stages, economical servo/stepper motor products and ultra-compact piezo motor positioners are part of the PI portfolio of miniature stages. The smallest motorized stages fit on a finger-tip and are inertia motor-driven Q-Motion positioners. With travel ranges from 1/4 inch to 2 inches, fast start/stop, and self-clamping, PI’s low-profile micro stage products can be incorporated into existing applications, resulting in compact and affordable single and multi-axis positioning systems with resolution from microns to nanometers.

In addition to the standard products presented in the new catalog, PI says it can modify existing product designs or provide a fully customized OEM part to fit the exact requirements of the application.

The company also offers controllers and drivers — designed to be compact and highly responsive — to run the precision mechanics. PI’s digital motion controllers come with ample software support and use one common command and driver set.

Applications of Miniature Precision Positioning Technology

Applications include semiconductor applications, photonics, bio-nano-technology, metrology, microscopy, micro-manipulation, including cleanroom applications.
