Jenoptik Optical Systems has announced the completion of the new Jenoptik Dome Theater. The Jenoptik Dome Theater was designed and constructed in Jupiter, Florida (US) for testing and demonstrating laser projection lenses for digital cinema and theme park applications.
The screen of the Jenoptik Dome Theater is 24 feet in diameter (12 feet dome radius). The hemispherical screen is elevated five feet above the audience, which is suitable for testing digital planetarium lenses. The screen is coated with a proprietary high performance surface treatment to match customer’s preferred 3D projection screens. The Jenoptik Theater also has a 30 feet wide by 16 feet high flat screen for testing digital cinema lenses that Jenoptik produces for flat screens.
